Transformational Giving
As our efforts to serve the estimated 15,000-20,000 blind and visually impaired adults in our community continues to grow, our financial burden becomes greater. Transformational giving is more important now than ever before. To learn more about the transformational giving opportunities listed below, please contact Bryson Young at byoung@abvisc.org or 843-203-6037.
UNRESTRICTED DONATIONS
Thousands of individuals in the Tri-County need help learning to live with vision loss. A one-time, unrestricted donation allows ABVI to allocate the money where it is needed the most. For example, a gift of $5,000 can provide comprehensive Orientation and Mobility training for 5 clients. $25,000 can provide complete, customized training for one blind and visually impaired adult. You can also make the most of your major gift with a multi-year pledge or matching gift. Ask us how!
NAMING OPPORTUNITIES AND PROGRAM SPONSORSHIPS
As we explore new ways to create access for clients, we are developing opportunities for families to leave a lasting mark on our organization through naming opportunities including our programs, our Charleston office and our brand-new Ladson location.
CLIENT SERVICES SCHOLARSHIPS
The cost of full services offered for one client is $25,000. Starting at $5,000 per year for 5 years, families can create a Client Services Scholarship fund in their name which provides complete, customized training for one blind or visually impaired adult.
PLANNED GIVING
Planned gifts allow donors to leave a legacy while ensuring the future success of ABVI. We accept gifts in the following forms: Will Bequest, Trust, Life Insurance Policy, IRA/Retirement Distribution or Charitable Remainder Trust.
ANNUAL VISIONARY CLASS
Donors who make their first commitment of at least $5,000, since the program’s inception in 2018, are honored as part of an Annual Visionary Class.
Lifetime Visionary Circle
The Lifetime Visionary Circle honors donors for their cumulative, lifetime commitment to ABVI. These donors are critical to the success and growth of our organization, and once inducted, they will remain a member of the Lifetime Visionary Circle throughout their lifetime.
