CLIENTS
Volunteers may assist instructors or provide support for clients at a client event
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Opportunities include coordinating quarterly mailings, making phone calls, welcoming clients and more.
EVENTS
From our annual blind dining event, Noir, to the Good Cheer client holiday luncheon, volunteers can assist with set-up, selling raffle tickets or helping at the ABVI table.
Client Connections
Client Connections are a social opportunity where clients come together to learn from, share with and support each other. If you have a special skill you would like to share, we would love to create a new opportunity with you.
Opportunities for Adults
Movies, media club, lunch and learns, client lunches and more.
Youth Events
Makeup and Me, Movie and More and Bowling with Friends.
Opportunities for parents
Early Literacy; Sensory Play with Toys and Tots; Fine Motor and the Family; Orientation and Mobility for Tiny Travelers.
Job Readiness Coaching
ABVI needs help teaching our clients the personal skills they need to obtain a job and be successful within the workplace. This opportunity could include: resume building, interview skills, communications, professional dress and more. We would love volunteers who have general management experience and/or experience interviewing and hiring.
Administrative Volunteers
The ABVI administrative staff needs help with various office tasks. This work could include coordinating quarterly mailings, making calls, welcoming clients and more. If you are interested in helping around the office, we would love to meet with you.
Event Support
From our annual blind dining event, Noir, to the Good Cheer client holiday luncheon, we can always use extra hands for set-up, selling raffle tickets or helping at the ABVI table.
