Thanks to the support of donors like you, ABVI is able to help our neighbors with vision loss develop skills to live safely and provide support to them during this challenging time. We’ve helped some clients cope with the stresses of the pandemic and others confront the reality of their new life with vision loss.

Gail, who began losing her vision gradually 30 years ago, recently lost her remaining sight. She came to ABVI to relearn how to complete everyday tasks.

“After losing all of my vision, I was scared and wasn’t sure how to move forward. My instructors helped me realize what I can do instead of focusing on my limitations. Through the training, and encouragement, I received at ABVI, I now feel confident managing my medications, organizing important documents at home and much more. More importantly, I have changed my perspective and now appreciate all of my abilities instead of constantly thinking about all I had lost.”

By supporting us today, we can help more clients like Gail address their vision loss head-on.

With your help, we can continue our work to empower our clients with the skills they need to live, learn and earn with vision loss.

Warm wishes,
Courtney Plotner
President & CEO

P.S. – Here’s how your gift can help give our clients hope this holiday season. For every $100 you donate, you provide a little over an hour of critical Orientation and Mobility training for clients in need.
