Beth’s vision journey has been one of challenges and triumphs!
Despite receiving a diagnosis of retinopathy at 18, Beth built a flourishing career in healthcare that involved extensive travel. When her vision loss began to affect her daily life at age 55, she turned to ABVI for support. Through webinars and equipment demonstrations, ABVI helped her master tools like Meta Glasses and Be My Eyes to empower her to travel safely and independently. Today, she continues to travel internationally for volunteer work and uses both assistive technology tools to find airport gates, read flight arrival and departure boards, and read other signage around international airports. Thanks to ABVI training, Beth confidently pursues her passions across the globe!
“I didn’t feel comfortable flying by myself. Meta Glasses and the training from ABVI have boosted my confidence…I couldn’t do this without ABVI,” she reflects.
