VisionServe Alliance Honors Courtney Plotner with the 2025 Excellence in Leadership Award
A Standard of Excellence
VisionServe Alliance is thrilled to honor Courtney Plotner, President and CEO of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired South Carolina (ABVI) for her visionary leadership and ambitious expansion of vision rehabilitation services throughout South Carolina.
The VisionServe Alliance Excellence in Leadership Award honors an Executive Director, President, or CEO of a member organization who has shown exemplary industry and professional leadership.
In the past five years, Courtney Plotner and her team have transformed ABVI South Carolina from a community center for adults living with vision loss into a hub of opportunity where dreams of independence could be realized and exceeded. She deftly navigated the uncertain Covid years, increasing dollars raised, clients served, and elevating the quality of services offered.
“Under Courtney’s leadership, ABVI experienced a 176% increase in clients served since Fiscal Year 2020,” said Lee Nasehi, President and CEO of VisionServe Alliance. “Her drive, strategic thinking, and ability to bring out the personal best in each person make her the definition of Excellence in Leadership. We are deeply grateful to Courtney for all she has done for the blind and low vision community.”
The Excellence in Leadership Award will be commemorated at the Annual Awards Lunch on Wednesday, April 30th at VisionServe Alliance’s Adapt and Thrive: Igniting Change in a Dynamic World 2025 Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.
